Hi, I'm Audra! I am a trained community herbalist, medicine-maker, gardener, and photographer.

My herbal journey began many moons ago, and I'm so grateful for it! It has included years of self-study, participation in workshops held by renowned herbalists at numerous herbal conferences, and most recently a three-tier herbal education with the Florida School of Holistic Living, under the guidance of herbalist Emily Ruff. I also have a B.A. in Environmental Studies from New College of Florida, and have worked amongst incredible women as a midwife's assistant.

why I do this work:

Throughout my life, one of my most clear paths has been to pursue meaningful work that brings joy to the hearts of many and alleviates suffering. I’ve come to study herbalism through a passion for both the delicacy of the human experience, and our generous Earth and its many gifts. A desire to weave a connection between the two sometimes opposing forces is where my herbal practice takes root.

I am captivated by the plant world! I love to experience it directly through time spent outside, create with it through medicine-making, and capture it’s beauty in images. I believe deeply in the healing power of plants and the ability of nature to fill the void and sooth the wounds created by contemporary culture. I also believe deeply in the intelligence and magnificence of the human body and its ability to heal itself if given the right tools.

Compassion, integrity, humility, and wonder are the pillars of my herbal practice, and I aim honor these in all that I do. Through my work I hope to shed light on the magic of the plants; to spark interest in earth-based medicine and empower individuals to take charge of their health; to make community-based herbal medicine affordable and accessible to all who seek it; and to foster a greater sense of connection, understanding, gratitude, and care for the non-human world. Herbal medicine is the people's medicine!

I'm also a photographer! If interested, you can view my work here
